Project Harvesting Resilience documents the vital stages of traditional rice farming, emphasizing the resilience and dedication of local farmers in sustaining their livelihoods. The fieldwork captures the journey from initial preparation of the paddy fields to the final stages of crop growth:

  • Preparing: Farmers set up essential structures and prepare the land for planting, ensuring ideal conditions for the crop.

  • Planting: Careful transplantation of rice seedlings into flooded fields, demonstrating traditional planting techniques.

  • Plating: Organizing seedlings in floating beds or planting frames to support healthy growth.

Growing: Monitoring the maturing crop as it thrives under natural conditions, symbolizing the perseverance and strength of farming communities.

This project highlights the connection between people, land, and culture, showcasing how resilience is nurtured through agricultural practices that have endured over generations.
